, and has come up in top ten standings as a result.
Targa Hybrid Lexus GS 450

TARGA Newfoundland 2008 featured a variety of over-achieving vehicles. but not all were hybrid powered like the rally-prepped Lexus GS 450h performance luxury hybrid sedan. Both driver Marc Lachapelle and his co-driver Alan Ockwell crossed the finish line completely silent in Newfoundland, running the GS on electric only. Marc commented that “For us, it was the best proof that you can run hard for six days, make it to the finish and still be as environmentally friendly and quiet as possible, in a modern car.” Not bad for a six-day, 2200 kilometer run on hybrid technology!
