In its third succession of hybrid vehicles, the RX 400h delivers notable fuel economy. Gaining an estimated gas mileage in the mid-20s, it rises above the RX 350. Alone in its class as a midsize luxury utility vehicle, the “green” SUV still maintains appealing luxurious qualities.

Riding on 17-inch wheels, the RX 400h has a new grille and new chrome door handles. Available in front- or all-wheel-drive, this Lexus is furnished with 10-way power front seats, dual-zone climate control, reclining second-row seats and a power rear liftgate. The dashboard has an illuminated battery-power meter. Each of the three batteries under the backseat has a cooling fan.

This hybrid is able to operate in gas or electric mode or a combination of both. Incorporating the 3.3-liter gasoline and V6 engine allow up to 268 horsepower. Properly equipped, the towing capacity can be up to 3,500 pounds.

The Lexus RX 400h is appropriately equipped with a variety of safety features that include; antilock brakes, side curtain airbags and a driver’s knee airbag. An optional element is a cruise control adjustment that automatically slows down the SUV when too close to another vehicle at highway speeds.

Although this is a hybrid, Lexus triumphs with supreme performance.

Several integrated features and a stylish suspension are rocking the Lexus IS 350 for this 2008 model. For a small four-door, luxury sport sedan, the 306 horsepower V6 is a top preference for buyers. There are minor changes for the IS 350. Once of the major changes is a new “Liquid Graphite” finish for the wheels. More comfortable steering, increased rear legroom and a new coin holder are other improvements.

Similar to appearances of the LF series and GS, the IS 350 is set apart with a slightly more muscular appearance. The 2008 Lexus IS 350 is a compact car available in a single trim level. There are plenty of standard features that include; leather seating, power front seats, 17-inch wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, a premium six-disk CD audio system and a sunroof. Optional upgrade packages are available.

The IS earned the best possible rating in performance for both frontal offset and side-impact tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash testing. A new twin-chamber front-passenger airbag, knee airbags and antilock brakes are some safety features that come standard.

The IS 350 is equipped with a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine that generates the 306 horsepower and 277 pounds-feet of torque.

When it comes to premium SUVs, Lexus fulfills with a great car for a great price. The Lexus GX 470 is perfectly equipped for off-road performance while providing exceptional seat comfort for a quiet ride.

Intentionally resembling other Lexus vehicles, the GX 470 has incorporated fender flares and illuminated running boards. Other exterior changes are a new metallic finish on the grill, tailgate molding, door handles and a roof rack. Outfitted with standard 17-inch tires and a moon roof, this SUV is also equipped with a 263 horsepower, 4.6-liter V-8 Engine. The optional towing package allows the equipped five-speed automatic GX to tow up to 6,500 pounds.

Although seating for five is standard, it can be up to eight with use of the optional third row seating. The Lexus GX 470 features dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-trimmed power steering wheel, six-CD changer and an integrated HomeLink transmitter.

The Lexus comes with standard safety features. Some of these safety features are side-impact airbags, traction control, antilock brakes and an electronic stability system.

The Lexus GX 470 is exceptional when traveling off-road, utilizing its full-time four-wheel drive. Downhill Assist Control keeps the vehicle consistent and even while going up or downhill.
