A Lexus tuned IS-F has finally made its way to the public eye, thanks to Wald International. That, and the Lexus LS – flagship of the Lexus fleet – may receive a V6. All this and more in this week’s round up of Lexus news!

The Lexus IS-F Sports Line Black Bison Edition delivers the vehicle with a 5.0-liter V8 engine, bringing up 417 horse power and 317 ft of torque. A new transmission blips the throttle when the driver downshifts, giving them solid control over the car.

The fourth generation Lexus LS is quickly on its way to becoming the next flagship of the fleet. its LS 460 and 600h both come with V8 engines. The LS 460 features a 380 horsepower (342 hp in some markets) 4.6-liter unit with an eight-speed automatic. On its own, the 5.0-liter V8 on the 600h produces 389 hp and up to 383 ft-lb of torque. But a more toned down (and inexpensive) version of the LS may be added to the line up. A V6 would bring better fuel economy, and a lower price tag will undoubtedly attract more buyers in this economy. The 3.5 liter V6 engine generates 311 horse power and 278 ft of torque.

Lexus has always been at the forefront of impressive automotive design – but we think designer Jon Rådbrink has been up late watching the new special edition of Blade Runner on Blu Ray. His Nuaero concept looks like a cross between Harrison Ford’s flying Spinner police car and something you attack with a can of Off bug spray. But the Nuaero is just how cars in the future may be built – low weight and visually captivating.

Not only will the Lexus of the Future look…well…futuristic, it will be loaded with top of the line technology in order to make your driving experience as unique as it can be. Operators will use “drive-by-wire steering pads” along with a “customizable multi-point touch screen.” mounted on its dash board. Rådbrink has also eliminated foot pedals – Nuaero will be controlled completely through your steering wheel. Built into each of the four wheels you will find separate electric motors to power Nuaero, cutting out a transmission all together. So no worries about eventually dropping a few hundred dollars on replacing one. Braking occurs when the pilot pushes the steering wheel forward, almost like an airplane. Lexus may help guide the driver into our inevitable commuting future.
