Lexus Has The Power – JD Power That Is
Oops – that’s the wrong JD in our little feature photo – but Lexus did take home one of the most prestigious automotive awards this week as J.D. Power and Associates’ annual Initial Quality Study was given to the make. According to J.D. Power & Automotive News: Several mainstream domestic brands fared well in the 2009 IQS survey, with Ford and Chevrolet finishing just behind Toyota, in 8th and 9th places, respectively.

Among those brands falling below the industry average were BMW, Acura, Buick, Audi, Volvo, Saturn, Lincoln, Jaguar, Jeep, Saab, Smart and Land Rover. Mini finished at the bottom of the IQS rankings. But Lexus takes home Number One – the IChiban as they say in Japan. Congratulations!
