Lexus CT Hybrid Ready for 2009 Frankfurt Show

Later this month the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show will kick off with a Lexus unveiling so secretive we have yet to find any officially released photos. The Lexus CT Hybrid concept, which is (allegedly) a 5-door hatchback version of the successful Lexus 250h (pictured below in red), has dozens of artist renderings out online with no official Lexus photos.

Auto Express put together a rendering based on HS & RX vehicles. The CT will contain a Lexus Hybrid drive, currently available on the HS 250h – with some extra juice under the hood when it kicks over to gasoline/petrol – 2.4-liter four-cylinder producing 187 bhp. Lexus finds Europe’s premium C-segment “too lucrative not to be in.” Also like the HS it’ll be front-wheel drive, and should be on sale in the UK by Autumn 2010.
