The humble makeover for the GS 350 poses a threat to competitors via powerful V-6 engine and other improved qualities that makes this new Lexus more attractive. The 303 horsepower engine puts this sedan back in the running with its competitors.
Like several luxury cars, the side mirrors include turn signals. A new chrome grille has closer side headlights. What Lexus calls a new futuristic look for the GS, the steep back window and long side glass enhances the car’s performance. Xenon headlights, leather seating, 10-way power front seats, a six-CD changer with a cassette player and other amenities come standard for the GS 350.
The roomy cabin fits five passengers comfortably, giving the ten-way front seats heated leather upholstery. The push-to-start ignition and a variable transparency lens which reduces glares from the sun. The optional navigation system comes with Bluetooth and a rearview camera which is key for those who have trouble parallel parking.
Both the driver and passengers have customary front and knee airbags. Four-wheel-disc antilock brakes, an electronic stability system and traction control also are also standard safety features.
